Natural Pain Relief Remedies

Day-to-day functioning can be severely limited by joint pain.  Buildup of toxins in the spaces between the joints resulting from poor digestion or the consumption of the wrong foods can lead to joint pain. Despite receiving treatment for this condition, many people continue to live with extremely painful joints, believing it is their lot in life as they grow older. What they don’t realize is how easy joint pain can be eliminated with simple home remedies. Here are a handful.1. Drink this “ginger juice” preparation once in the morning and again in the evening on an empty stomach.  Mix no more than two teaspoons of castor oil and one teaspoon of ginger juice.

2. In a small saucepan, warm oil that has been extracted from the seeds of the Bishop’s weed and massage into painful joints.

3. Cold weather remedy – In a small sauce pan, mix two cups up water with  seeds from Bishop’s weed  and a teaspoon of salt. Place a sieve on the saucepan and a cloth over the sieve. Bring the mixture to a boil. Wrap the painful joint in the cloth that is saturated with the Bishop-seed-rich vapor to eliminate the pain.

4. Tomatoes, which are rich in vitamin C, can provide considerable relief from persistent joint pain in the knees, fingers, and shoulders. Conventional treatments often don’t work well in these cases. Consuming five raw tomatoes, on the other hand, as well as eating tomato soup two times a day, once in the morning and again in the evening, will provide significant relief from joint pain in as little as two weeks’ time.

5. The amalaki fruit (Emblica officinalis), also known as Indian gooseberry, works wonders when the onset of joint pain in various parts of the body is sharp and sudden. Grind the fruit and mix in six to eight ounces of slightly warm water.  To this mixture, add a piece of cardamom that is slightly crushed and stir until blended. Drink this mixture once every day.

6. The petals of the yellow oleander flower, when ground into a paste and mixed with some groundnut oil, can be applied anywhere on the body where joint pain occurs. The pain will be completely eliminated when the paste is used on a regular basis.

7. Other simple home remedies include formulating a paste by grinding mustard seeds and mixing in a small amount of water. Again, smooth the paste on the painful joints to alleviate pain.

8. The following regimen takes two weeks to complete, but by the end of the 14th day, your joint pain will be greatly diminished. Every morning, peel the number of castor seeds indicated and consume as follows:

  • Day 1: Eat one seed.
  • Day 2:  Eat two seeds.
  • Day 3:  Eat three seeds.
  • Continue to increase the number of seeds consumed by one until you reach Day 7, by which time you will be eating seven seeds. On Day 8, reduce back to 6 seeds; then Day 9,  5 seeds, and on down until, on the 14th day, you will again be eating just one castor seed.

9. In a small saucepan, add the seeds of the Bishop’s weed plant to water and bring to a boil. At this point, vapor enriched with the seeds’ essence will be rising up from the water. Take the water off the heat and allow the vapor to rise over painful joints. Continue until you notice a reduction in pain.

10. Create a potent oil to massage on painful joints as follows: In a small bowl, add some bitter oil, Bishop’s weed seeds, and a few cloves of garlic; mix well. Rub the oil deeply into painful joints. Joint pain is significantly reduced when this massage treatment is used consistently.
